focus on several parts: phone design,
screen display and phone CPU.
Apple iPhone 5S vs.
Samsung Galaxy S IV – design
The iPhone 5S has been reportedly most similar to its
previous brother, the iPhone 5, with very little changes. The reports go that the iPhone 5S would
come with glass front, a 4 inch screen and an aluminum body form the bulk of
the design. The Samsung Galaxy S IV would come with some new aesthetic changes
in phone design. Though the plastic battery cover and the slim body design
would arouse some complaints, the phone would be protected well. The Samsung
Galaxy S4 will have a decidedly less curvy facade and this means that it will
be able to use more of its space than the previous model.
Apple iPhone 5S vs.
Samsung Galaxy S IV – screen display
As usual, the screen trajectory continues with the new
Samsung Galaxy S4. This means that the pixel resolution on the new model will
be significantly larger and there is a larger screen to boot too. Samsung
Galaxy S IV would reportedly sport a 4.99" full HD (1920x1080) Super
AMOLED screen display. The screen display is reportedly to be possible flexible
which means that the phone will be tougher.
Without doubt, the bigger screen size and the higher number of pixels deliver
satisfactory visual effect for people to watch HD movies on Galaxy S IV.
On the other side, Apple is reportedly to feature the IGZO
panel technology on the iPhone 5S. The IGZO panel used by Apple will be from
the brainworks of Sharp and will help the company achieve better performance at
reduced power consumption. The IGZO tech uses a unique screen refresh technique
that only refreshes the screen when anything is moving inside it, and the
screen does not refresh for static images, thus saving on power. The screen
will refresh at a default rate of 60Hz.

Samsung Galaxy S IV – CPU
The Samsung Galaxy S IV is reportedly to take 8-core Exynos
5 Octa SoC processor. The catch here is that out of the 8 cores, 4 have their
engines running at peak rpm and the remaining cores are designed to work for
the more home purpose and silent applications. The extreme four cores comprise
of the Cortex-A15s running at 1.8GHz, while the silent cores are Cortex-A9
cores clocked at 1.2GHz. This simply means that the S4 guns for efficiency.
For those addicted to the power of their smartphones hitting
the roof, and think they will be disappointed with the half hearted fury of the
S4’s CPU, the GPU has a surprise for them, and the Mali-T658 will be the GPU.
ARM states that this’ll offer 10x the power of the current-gen Mali-400
chipset.
As for the iPhone 5S, the iPhone will potentially have a 2
core CPU and a 4 core GPU. Of course, these numbers don’t amount to much when
compared to the double 8 figures of the Samsung Galaxy S4’s CPU/GPU combo. But
Apple is all set to introduce a slew of top end games for the iPhone. The
competition is not out yet.
