Newly announced Sony Android smartphones – Sony Xperia SP and Sony Xperia L specs and images

Before the official announcement from Sony, there have been reports and rumors on Sony Xperia SP and Sony Xperia L smartphones. Now, very soon after the release of Sony Xperia Z in Los Angeles, Sony officially confirmed the announcement of two new Sony Android smartphones, the Xperia SP and Xperia L. The official release of the two new models is set to be this spring, not long for us to wait.

As for the specs, the two new smartphones could also satisfy people’s desire. Smaller than the Xperia Z, but larger than the Xperia L, the Xperia SP features a 4.6-inch 720p HD Reality Display, running on the Mobile Bravia Engine 2. Inside, you'll find a 1.7GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor. The rear-facing 8MP camera is capable of capturing 1080P video.

Sony Xperia SL and Xperia L appeared on British shopping sites for a possible recent release

Sony has got a lot of big movements in 2013. Just after the official release of the widely popular Xperia Z and Xperia Tablet Z devices, there come another two handsets. Though Sony Xperia SP and Xperia L have not been officially released, these two devices have landed on the British shopping sites like AmazoneBuyer, LamdaTek, etc. Lamda Tek indicated that the Xperia SP and Xperia L would be officially saled on March 19th at £312.98 and £219.18 respectively, while the Ireland telecom leaked that the two devices would be outputted on March 14th with £389.79 and £270.46 respectively.

According to the information leaked, the Sony Xperia SP C530, codenamed HuaShan, would get translucent buttons on the bottom of the screen panel, which has power button and lock button just like Xperia Z, and takes advantage of virtual touch control. The Xperia SP would feature a 1.7GHz Qualcomm MSM8960T dual-core processor with an Adreno 320GPU chip. The 720P (1280x720) screen would deliver amazing visual effect for users to watch HD movies on Xperia SP.

The Sony Xperia L is codenamed as TaoShan, which features a 4.3" 854x480 pixels screen display, 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8227 or MSM8627 quad-core processor, 8MP camera with Exmore RS sensor, 8GB ROM, 1,700mAh battery and expandable memory space via mcroSD card slot.

Sony to soon release unlocked Xperia ZL for U.S. in black, white and red

During the near past CES 2013, Sony had successfully attracted a great deal of eyes by introducing the Xperia Z and Xperia ZL. Since the release event on CES, as the flagship of Sony, Xperia Z has gained great interest around the world. However, the Sony Xperia ZL is no slouch, as long as no water involved.  If you’re longing for an Xperia ZL, you’ve got the good news. Sony has officially added the Sony Xperia ZL to Sony U.S. web site. People could sign up on this page to get when the smartphone is available for ordering. Besides the black and white color options, a red version is also displayed.

Currently, the Xperia ZL has been confirmed to be launching in Russia, Canada, Germany and US. There’s been no detailed information about the Xperia ZL price. But it is believed the Xperia ZL would be mostly priced the same as Xperia Z, which is reportedly to be priced equal to Samsung Galaxy Note 2. Sources indicate the phone will be sim-free and will have LTE antennas available for several bands. The Sony web site lists three colors for the device – red, black and white. The inclusion of the red variant is a nice surprise after that color was shown at an event for South East Asian markets.
