Sony Quad-core Flagship Xperia Z to Appear on CES 2013

Quite soon, the CES 2013 will come alive from January 8 to 11, only a few days left. With the approaching of the unveiling of CES 2013, there’re a lot of reports and rumors about the participants of the electronica product exhibition. The long rumored Xperia Yuga is a big concern to smartphone fans around the world. Previous reports had shown that the Xperia Yuga would be officially named as Xperia Z. And now, a brand new report shows that the new Sony quad-core flagship Xperia Z would appear on CES 2013. The press conference of Sony is scheduled at the evening of January 7th, when we could get more detailed information about this new smartphone. Now, let’s take a look at the official image of this new smartphone and its rumored specs.

As reported, Sony Xperia Z would come with a 5-inch FHD IPS touchscreen with 1920x1080 pixels screen resolution and 400ppi, quite similar to the previous reports. Thus, if you want to watch HD movies on Xperia Z, you would not be disappointed. Besides, this new smartphone also runs on a 1.5GHz Qual-comm S4 quad-core processor with 2GB RAM. The camera pixel reaches up to 12MP for a better camera experience. Aside from these, the Xperia Z also operates on Android 4.1.2 OS, supports LTE network connectivity, NFC and MicroSD card slot for memory expansion. Of course, just as reported before, the Xperia Z would be waterproof, dustproof and shakeproof smartphone.

As for the official release date, the Xperia Z is supposed to be available in the middle of January, a long time before the next Apple iPhone and Samsung flagships. There’s also report that another smartphone codenamed Xperia X would appear on the CES 2013 as well, which features with 5" 1080P screen, 1300MP camera, etc.
