HTC One X+ Will Be Released on October 2nd in Britain?

The HTC One X+ has not yet been officially released, though there’ve been quite a few leaked news on it. In this week, after a blurry picture of the front panel of the HTC One X+ leaked on Twitter, Pocket-lint showed people another two images of this smartphone, one of the front while the other is the back.
Exactly what we can lean from the leaked images is that the design of the new smartphone is virtually identical to the HTC One X, featuring a probably 4.7" large touchscreen with three touch keys beneath it.

And now, a new leaked media invitation from members of HTCSpecialist.com has clearly showed that HTC will hold a new smartphone release event on October 2nd in Glasgow. You can have a look at the invitation image below:
As for the detailed specs of HTC One X+, Mobile phone website GSMArena has spotted that the One X+ is being featured in the latest O2 catalogue. According to the blurb next to the picture the HTC One X+ will feature 64GB of storage, an 8 megapixel camera, 1.7GHz quad core processor, Jelly Bean, and 25GB of Dropbox storage. It will be available for £479.99 if you buy it to Pay & Go.

Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Launch Event Is Due on October 24

Well, Samsung must have known something the tech press did not, because it has since sold more than 10 million Galaxy Notes worldwide, and extended the product line to include a 10.1-inch Android tablet, the Galaxy Note 10.1, and the new Samsung Galaxy Note II, which was first unveiled at IFA in Berlin in early September.

We already know that five carriers will get the 5.5-inch phone/tablet hybrid, but Samsung looks like it will hold a grand opening anyway.

Look at the stylus in Samsung's Save the Date invite we received will tell you all you need to know: it's time for the U.S. to get the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 (II) "phablet", considering that the Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet is out in the world, and since Samsung will want to put great marketing and sales efforts behind their latest phone in a category they're aggressively pioneering.

The Note 2 smartphone has a 5.5-inch screen, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, an 8-megapixel camera, and will be the first U.S. phone to pair a quad-core processor (Samsung's Exynos brand) with 4G LTE.

Five carriers will get the Galaxy Note 2 by mid-November, starting with U.S. Cellular in late October for $299.99. Sprint, AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon will also sell the extra-large smartphone, but have not yet released pricing and availability.

You'd better believe that CNET will be in New York in October covering the event, and more pricing details will be followed until then.

Find YouTube App Back to iPhone in iOS 6

When you said hello to iOS 6, you said goodbye to your iPhone's preinstalled YouTube app. Earlier this month, Google released a YouTube app for the iPhone and iPod Touch that introduces a new design and functionality. Google says there are "tens of thousands more videos" available with this app than you had with the old, built-in app. The downside is now that Google and Apple have parted ways here, Google can start serving ads on its iPhone app. I've watched dozens of videos with the new app, and can happily report that I was served an ad before only a handful of videos (though I wouldn't be surprised to see the frequency increase as time goes on).

Let's take a quick spin through the app.
After installing the app, you'll notice that the old TV icon is gone, replaced by a less fun YouTube logo. The app, too, boasts a new look. Tap the button in the top-left corner to reveal a slide-out menu, where you can sign into your account, access settings, see the channels to which you subscribe, and view YouTube's categories. You can't swipe to delete a channel from this menu. Instead, you must open a channel and tap on the green checkmark button at the top of the channel to unsubscribe.
In the top-right corner is the search button. Aiding your searches is auto-complete functionality, making suggestions as you go.
You have two options for how your Home Feed works. In settings, you can choose either Highlights or Uploads Only. These are slightly vague and inaccurate terms. Choose Uploads Only and you'll see videos that have been uploaded only from your channels. Choose Highlights and Google adds recommendations based on your viewing activity to the mix.
When viewing a video, you need only to rotate your phone into landscape mode to view the video at full screen. Rotate back to portrait mode to see the video's details, comments, or suggested videos. When viewing in full screen, you can tap on the screen to access the thumbs-up and thumbs-down buttons along with the share button. The sharing options have increased. Here's the list:
In addition to these options, you can also add it to watch later, add to favorites, add to a playlist, or flag as inappropriate. To find your uploads, playlists, watch later videos, open the slide-out menu and tap on your name at the top.
While you can view your uploaded videos, you can't upload videos you have on your phone from within the app. That's not a huge deal since YouTube is still one of the sharing options when viewing a video in the Photos app. A bigger omission is the lack of iPad support. The YouTube app is not universal, but Google says an iPad version will be out in the coming months.

Samsung Galaxy S III Jelly Bean update available in east Europe

Since the official release of Samsung Galaxy S III, it’s been months. As the latest flagship of Samsung, Galaxy S III has attracted people’s attention widely. However, it comes with the absence of the Android Jelly Bean OS, which makes it somewhat a little disappointing. Two weeks ago, Samsung has announced Android Jelly Bean update on Galaxy S III worldwide. But still some places and regions have not received the installation package, like east Europe. Now, the good news comes that Samsung Galaxy S III Jelly Bean update is available for east European users.
Galaxy S 3 Jelly Bean update
According to the European user feedback information, the update could be available via KIES update with a total size of 282.5 MB. The update would include Google’s latest Project Butter interface and support Google Now.

Poland, Croatia, and Macedonia, Serbia and other east European regions would take the lead to have Android 4.4.1 update. Upon the server stability and response speed, Samsung may start the update in different regions gradually. The current OTA upgrade is not available in UK and other regions. At the same time, British KIES did not provide any new firmware version.

Windows Phone 8 smartphones duel: HTC Windows Phone 8X vs. Nokia Lumia 920

Due to the Windows 8 release, there’re several smartphone manufacturers that plan to output smartphones based on Windows Phone 8. On September 5th, Nokia held an event to officially introduce its latest Windows Phone 8 smartphone Nokia Lumia 920 and 820. Right after the Nokia WP8 smartphones released, HTC soon released its brand new wonderful Windows Phone 8 smartphones on HTC WP8 September 19th event, the HTC 8X and HTC 8S. Today, I have collected some materials regarding Lumia 920 and HTC 8X to make a brief comparison between these two Windows Phone 8 smartphones. The below picture would show some detailed specs of HTC 8X and Lumia 920. Check the comparison below:
HTC 8X vs. Lumia 920
On the appearance, these two smartphones look very similar to each other. HTC 8X has abandoned its previous design like HTC One X, much fitter to Windows Phone 8 screen display. HTC's phone is significantly smaller, lighter, and thinner than the Lumia 920, which may give it a leg up for those who prefer more pocketable devices.

Displays
The Lumia 920 has the slightly larger display, 4.5 inches as opposed to the HTC Windows Phone 8X's 4.3 inches. Both smartphones own the same HD screens while HTC 8X might be a little advantageous for its higher pixel density, 342 pixels per inch versus the Lumia's 332 ppi, yet still enough to produce excellent video experience for users to watch HD movies on smartphones. Both use similar LCD screen technology with IPS, or in-plane switching.

Camera
The 8X includes HTC's image chip and 8-megapixel camera, which are included in the HTC One X and One S phones. Shutter lag is virtually nonexistent, and photo quality is very high. On the other hand, Nokia's 8.7-megapixel Pureview shooter could be great -- or it might disappoint like the Lumia 900's did, since it doesn’t own a relatively high sensor to let the light stream in just like that of Pureview 808.

Processor and performance
With the same 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, the same Windows Phone 8 OS, and the same 4G LTE speeds, the 8X and the Lumia 920 should run neck and neck for performance.

On the Bluetooth front, HTC made the strange decisions to give the 8X Bluetooth 2.1, whereas the Lumia 920 follows Bluetooth 3.1 standards. The best-case scenario would see both phones with Bluetooth 4.0 for easy tapping and pairing. At least with NFC on both handsets, there's room to pair with third-party accessories using the near field communication standard.
HTC 8X vs. Lumia 920
Battery
Nokia's 2,000mAh embedded battery edges the 8X's 1,800mAh equally nonremovable ticker. But the Lumia 920 has a larger screen display, which may eat more power than that of HTC 8X. Meanwhile, depending on the usage and brightness settings, runtime per charge could be shorter, longer, or identical. The PueMotion HD technology might even draw more battery, since it requires a voltage surge to transition from one video frame to the next.

Memory
The Lumia 920 has 32GB of onboard memory, plus 7GB of free Microsoft SkyDrive storage. HTC's 8X comes in a 16GB model, and while SkyDrive is available on every Windows Phone, HTC didn't announce plans to offer it free. Both phones have 1GB RAM, and neither comes with a microSD card slot for additional storage.

Carrier and pricing
HTC has the benefit of enlisting carriers to help rally customers to the 8X. The phone has a price ($199.99) on three carriers: AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon. Though Nokia hasn’t yet announced U.S. carriers, there are plenty of rumors that point to an October or November Lumia 920 launch on AT&T.

Asus PadFone 2 to launch on October 16 in Taipei and Milan

It has been months for the release of Asus PadFone since the MWC 2012. Now, Asus is reported to announce the successor of Asus PadFone in the coming months. Asus recently sent out media invitations for an October 16th event, which is scheduled about the official release of Asus PadFone 2. Unlike most other companies that are secretive about upcoming events, Asus made it clear that their PadFone 2 will be the center of attention on the third Tuesday of next month.
PadFone 2 event
From the media invitations, we could easily know that the PadFone 2 will be unveiled simultaneously in Taipei and Milan on October 16th. The invitation indicates no detailed specs or features of the next generation of PadFone. Recently-leaked benchmarks indicate the phone will utilize a quad-core Snapdragon S4 processor with 2GB RAM, Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich, etc. For the detailed specs, we have to wait for the official announce of this tablet-smartphone till its release date.

Detailed information about Samsung Galaxy Note II U.S. launch leaked online

For long, people have been waiting for the official release of the first quad-core LTE smartphone Samsung Galaxy Note II in U.S. And now from the latest news report, we know that Samsung will introduce this super-size smartphone "by mid-November". The Korea-based manufacturer announced today that it will kick off the 5.5-inch Android 4.1 Jelly Bean "phablet," a smartphone with tablet-like proportions, on the same five carriers that initially offered the Galaxy S3 this summer, including Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, and U.S. Cellular.
Samsung Galaxy Note 2
Also confirmed is that the U.S. Samsung Galaxy Note II will have a quad-core 1.6GHz Samsung Exynos processor, even the LTE version. It will be the same model Brighthand previewed in a recent Galaxy Note II hands-on report, which is notable because the LTE and U.S. versions of recent high-end Android smartphones, like the HTC One X, have had dual-core chipsets, while the international versions, often running on an HSPA network, had quad-core chips.

Unfortunately, those are the only details Samsung disclosed. Pricing and exact ship date information is being left to the carriers.

The Samsung Galaxy Note II will have a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED Plus display with a 16:9 aspect ratio, which has earned the Note the title of "phablet" (smartphone/tablet) and is larger than the previous Galaxy Note's 5.3-inch display. No doubt, it produces excellent visual experience for users to watch HD movies on Galaxy Note 2. It will also have 2GB of RAM, expandable storage via microSD, and will be the first Samsung smartphone to ship with Android Jelly Bean 4.1, which ensures quite smooth and fluent phone operating.

Of course, the defining Galaxy Note features will be the Samsung S Pen and Wacom display technology. For the Note II, Samsung updated the pen to support 1,024 pressure points, and the Note II will automatically launch user-specified applications when the S Pen is undocked from the device. The Note II will also sound an alarm should the user walk away and accidentally leave the S Pen behind.

HTC Windows Phone 8 8X Specs: 4.3-inch LCD 2 HD touchscreen, 8MP camera, 720P video playback

After the release of Samsung ATIV S and the Nokia Lumia 920 and 820, HTC soon announced to release other wonderful Windows Phone 8 smartphones on HTC WP8 September 19th event. Now, HTC has officially released its first Windows Phone 8 smartphones – HTC Windows Phone 8X and 8S. Make things short, let’s see what the HTC Windows Phone 8 8X brings to us:
HTC WP8 8X
Build and design
Measuring in at 10.12mm thick the 8X is substantially less slender than the One X (8.9mm) but manages to weigh in at the same 130g as HTC’s flagship Android device. Available in California Blue, Graphite Black, Flame Red and Limelight Yellow, the 8X seems to share more design characteristics with the Nokia Lumia 920 than it does with current One Series offerings which HTC claims is more based on the pillow-like design of Windows Live Tiles.

Screen
Brandishing a 4.3-inch LCD 2 HD touchscreen display with 1280 x 720 resolution, the 8X should serve up 720p HD image and video quality. Lightweight but durable Gorilla Glass should protect the screen from being roughed up during the day, and to battle glare and reflection issues, optical lamination has been includes so watching video or browsing in on the web shouldn’t be an issue.

Camera
Following in the footsteps of the Android-powered One X, the 8X features an 8-megapixel camera with auto focus and LED flash and a BSI sensor which along with the f/2.0 aperture and 28mm lens should snap great pictures in low-light conditions. HTC’s dedicated Image Chip will help deliver slick snaps and ramp up the focus speed, while 1080p HD video recording with stereo sound should take care of mobile movies.

For video chatting enthusiasts, the 2.1-Megapixel front-facing camera is capable of full HD video recording and also sports a f/2.0 aperture which combines with the ultra-wide-angle lens and HTC ImageChip comfortable should make it one of the best front-facing snappers around.

Connectivity
On the connectivity front you can expect Wi-Fi dual antenna (2.4 & 5GHz) to keep reception strong, with a Bluetooth 2.1 support and NFC capabilities on board as well. The micro-USB 2.0 port should open the possibility for hooking up additional accessories while it’s worth noting that you’ll need to have a Micro SIM packed in the back to start making calls.

HTC WP8 8X
Beats Audio
Reaping the rewards of HTC’s partnership with Beats Audio, built-in amplifiers and speaker should deliver the superior sound while the 3.5mm audio jack should allow you to plug in most headphones that you can get your hands on. If you opt not to use the ones thrown in the box of course.
Battery and processor
Powering the 8X will be a Qualcomm® S4 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, which will also power the 8S and the Nokia Lumia 920. 1GB of RAM will help to deliver in the multitasking department, while a 1,800 mAh battery should hopefully keep your handset juiced up throughout the day.

Windows Phone 8
Of course the 8X will become HTC’s flagship Window Phone 8 handset and amongst some of the features to expect, you will be able to use Live Tiles on the home screen which will display information such as missed calls and text messages, customization of Internet Explorer and the ability to take screen shots.

UK Price and release date
So when can you buy the HTC 8X in the UK? Well, the Windows Phone 8 smartphone will be landing in early November with Three, Orange, T-Mobile, Vodafone, O2, Virgin Media and Carphone Warehouse amongst the places you can expect to snare one. There’s no news on pricing, but will let you know as soon as it breaks.

How to clean up iTunes and delete duplicates in iTunes music library

Clean up iTunes
As more and more people use Apple devices, iTunes becomes even more popular and vital for people to store all files, like video, audio, apps, etc. As a comprehensive managing center for all iOS devices, iTunes could also act as audio player to play music and videos. People could download and store music files in iTunes freely. As the music files stored in iTunes increase, iTunes would become messy and get various duplicates of the same music file. Thus, questions like this "How can I easily remove and delete duplicates in itunes without having to manually remove each?" could be frequently seen online everywhere.

How to remove or delete duplicates in iTunes? It is very easy for people to delete music files in iTunes. However, it is not easy for people to delete duplicates in iTunes manually. In fact, there is no automatic way within iTunes itself that you could delete duplicates in iTunes music library without having to manually remove each. The easiest way to do this with iTunes only is to go to "Edit> Show Duplicate Songs" and then sort by time to delete duplicates in iTunes. This would also require for manual operation.

So, is there any better way to do this? Is there any wonderful iTunes cleanup app to help clean up iTunes and delete duplicates in iTunes music library with simple and fast operation? Of course yes. There are quite a few wonderful iTunes cleaner programs for you to use while trying to delete duplicates in iTunes music library, including: TuneUp, Song Sergeant, Tunes Cleaner for Mac, etc.
iTunes

Well, I would like to take the Tunes Cleaner for Mac as example to show you how to delete duplicates in iTunes music files on Mac OS computers. This iTunes cleaner app is suitable for Mac users to clean up iTunes music library, delete duplicates in iTunes, get album artwork for iTunes music files, etc. Once opened, it would be automatically scan the iTunes music library and list all music files that need to be fixed in specified classes. As the purpose is to delete duplicates in iTunes music library, check all music files under the "Duplicate songs in one list" option and then click "Fix" button to delete duplicates in iTunes music library easily. After fixing, click the "Apply" button and this iTunes cleaner program would automatically apply the fixed results to iTunes music library. Your iTunes music library will no longer be filled with duplicates.

This iTunes cleanup tool has been considered to be the easiest and most effective one, while other tools like TuneUp and Song Sergeant also provide very convenient operation and powerful functions. With these iTunes cleanup apps, it would be easier to clean up iTunes and delete duplicates in iTunes music library.

Newly Released Motorola RAZR i vs. LG Optimus G vs. Samsung Galaxy S 3

Motorola’s brand new Motorola RAZR i is the first Intel-based smartphone that comes with abundant eye-catching features to excite users, like its 2GB processor with Intel Atom 32nm technology, 8MP main camera, etc. The inside 2GB processor has been a breakup in smartphones. It's an Intel Atom 32nm single-core magic with hyperthreading that should stand a fight against today's dual-cores and quad-cores. The 2GHz impressive number is reached only when thermal conditions allow it, though, with the base clock remaining at the 1.3GHz standard for the Medfield chip. Intel is also providing the HSPA+ baseband and that means no LTE version of the device, so obviously it's unlikely to see this phone in the States. Instead, you'll get the similar, but ARM-based Droid RAZR M on Verizon. We expect the first Intel-based phones for the U.S. soon, probably early next year.

Motorola Released First Intel-based Motorola RAZR i with 2GHz Processor, 8MP Camera and Android ICS

Motorola just now has officially released Motorola RAZR I, the first Intel-based smartphone that comes with a single-core 2GHz Intel Atom processor, an 8MP camera for HD video recording and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS. The Motorola RAZR i is the first smartphone to clear the 2GHz barrier and powered by Intel’s 32nm technology processor.
Motorola RAZR i
Besides being the first phone to take Intel processor, this smartphone also features a 4.3" edge-to-edge AMOLED screen display with qHD (540x960-pixel) resolution, which is comparable to more compact devices like the iPhone to produce excellent visual experience for users to watch HD movies on mobile phone. Its 2,000mAh battery would greatly ensure digital entertainment for a full-day enjoyment. The large sensitive screen also produces quite fast response against touching.

As for the camera, the gadget has an extremely snappy 8MP camera with quick one-second start-up, which can take 10 pictures a second. Users could record pictures and videos at will with its large internal memory space: 8GB, 16GB and 32GB versions are provided for users to choose from, which is expandable via microSD cards.

In terms of software, you get Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, which could soon get upgraded to 4.1 Jelly Bean. On top of that, you have the light Motorola skin that we've come to like recently. You have the circle widget, and some other nice tweaks to the stock Android user interface. NFC is also on board.

The shipment of Motorola RAZR i is set for October for various markets like the UK, Germany, France, Brazil, Argentina and Mexico, while the U.S. launch is still to be confirmed.

The just released Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is still heat in the global mobile phone market. It is still too early to discuss Samsung Galaxy Note 3 now. Oppo Find 5 Comes with Quad-core Processor, 5-inch Full 1080P HD Screen Display and Jelly Bean

The Chinese smartphone maker, Oppo, has just dropped its latest masterpiece into the Android smartphone market, the Oppo Find 5, which comes bringing along a bunch of features that only a few top-notch Android smartphones offer. Earlier this year it released the world’s thinnest smartphone.
Oppo Find 5
The new Oppo Find 5 would be said to be a really powerful smartphone that could even compete with other top smartphones in the market, like Galaxy S III and iPhone 5. It provides a variety of wonderful features that quite few existing smartphones own now. For the very example, if you want to watch HD movies on phone, this smartphone will no doubt be your first choice as it features a 5-inch large screen display with resolution up to 1920x1080 pixels, which produces 441PPI density, leaving Samsung Galaxy S3 and iPhone 5 look bad as far as display is concerned. Other features to ensure smooth and fluent video enjoyment with Oppo Find 5 is that it features Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ8064 quad-core processor with 2GB RAM, producing excellent phone performance. Meanwhile, the 2500mAh battery allows users to have comparatively long time duration of video enjoying.

Clean up iTunes music library with iTunes cleanup tool

I have downloaded a lot of wonderful music files on my iTunes. Some of the music files have got several duplicates, while some others may have not complete music tags like artist, album, artwork, etc. Now, I would like to re-organize my iTunes music library. How can I clean up iTunes music library, delete duplicates in iTunes and get album artwork for iTunes music files easily? Is there such an iTunes cleaner tool to help me do this?

For many iTunes users, this problem is in fact very common. iTunes is not only a music player, but also a wonderful choice for users to store music files downloaded from online audio sites, iTunes store, or transferred from other media players. After long term of use, iTunes is not as clean and well organized as it used to be. It might get a lot of duplicates, music files with missed artist, album, artwork, etc. In such condition, it is necessary to clean up iTunes with professional iTunes cleaner tool.
iTunes
There are a lot of wonderful iTunes cleanup tool for you to choose online. These iTunes cleanup tools could help you clean up iTunes music files, delete duplicates in iTunes, get album artwork for iTunes music files, etc. Then, how to select the most effective iTunes cleaner program out of all choices, or which iTunes cleanup tool is the best?

My standard for choosing the best iTunes cleaner program is that it should be easy to use, functional and with user-friendly program interface. Upon these features, I have tested a lot of iTunes cleanup tools and finally found the Tunes Cleaner for Mac fulfills me most.

The Tunes Cleaner for Mac is indeed a powerful but easy to use iTunes cleanup program. It could clean up iTunes music library easily, delete duplicates in iTunes, get album artwork for iTunes, complete music information including musicians, album, cover, etc. What’s more, the most attractive point of this iTunes cleanup tool is the quite easy to use and user-friendly program interface. It is very easy to use this program to clean up iTunes music library. The simple interface would tell you all things to do in a very simple way.

Besides the Tunes Cleaner for Mac, I also tried some other wonderful programs to clean up iTunes, including TuneUp and Song Sergeant. The TuneUp could easily fix mislabeled song info, remove duplicate songs, fill in missing album cover art, get concert alerts, music videos, artist bios and more. Song Sergeant intelligently identifies and removes duplicates, renames inconsistently named artists and albums, reunites orphaned song files to your library, and deals with missing song files.

As for the games, the Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime stressed that the console will have a full complement of games early in its launch. The lack of games available for Nintendo's 3DS handheld launch last year was a major reason that device stumbled after it went on sale, forcing the game company to slash prices. He said over 50 games would be available from the launch through the end of March 2013, such as a new version of its classic "Super Mario Brothers" franchise, "Metroid", "Call of Duty Black Ops 2," a "Transformer" title, the successor to the "Bayonetta" combat game, etc.

The game company has long tried to market its hardware at less extreme gamers, featuring family play and titles aimed at women. But the titles show it also intends to pursue the "hard-core" game market along with rivals Sony and Microsoft.

The ability to use the Wii U as a home entertainment center means Nintendo will compete with companies like Sony, which has emphasized its networked music and video offerings' availability through its PlayStation franchise.
