The first film in the Fantastic Beasts franchise, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, was released in 2016 and draws on Harry Potter’s rich mythology to deliver a spinoff that dazzles with franchise-building magic all its own. The sequel, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, was released just 2 years later in 2018. It is reported that the Fantastic Beasts 3 franchise has recast Grindelwad, replacing Johnny Depp with Mikkelson who turned in a memorable performance in the Oscar-winning Another Round in the last year.
Part 1: Fantastic Beasts 3: When is Fantastic Beasts 3 Released?
J. K. Rowling has commented on
her Twitter account that she was done writing the script to Fantastic Beasts 3
on 10 December, 2018. As the third instalment of the ‘Fantastic Beasts’ series,
Fantastic Beasts 3 was originally supposed to hit theaters on November 12,
2021. But Fantastic Beasts 3 has pushed back and is finally set to hit theaters
on 15 July, 2022. However, it is not all due to the COVID-19 pandemic. There
are also other reasons for the delay of the release date. Warner Bros Pictures
Group chairman Toby Emmerich said that they were incredibly excited about and
had confidence in the Fantastic Beasts series and filmmakers needed more time
and space to allow their artistry to truly flourish and deliver the best
possible film to their fans. Though Warner Bros was seemingly pulling out all
the stops to ensure that Fantastic Beasts 3 release date remained in 2021, the
replacement of Johnny Depp left the studio moving the release date to July 2022
currently.
Part 2: Fantastic Beasts 3: What is the Fantastic Beasts 3 About?
The Fantastic Beasts 3 is an upcoming fantasy film directed
by David Yates, who directed the first two Fantastic Beasts movies and several
of the Harry Potter films. Fantastic Beasts 3 will center on characters created
by J. K. Rowling and take place years before the events of Harry Potter. It is
an American and British co-production from a screenplay by J. K. Rowling and
Steve Kloves who wrote seven of the eight OG Harry Potter movies and co-wrote the
first two Fantastic Beasts. Actually, till now there is very little known about
the plot of Fantastic Beasts 3. To know something about this film, you can go

Part 3: Fantastic Beasts 3: An Updated Cast List
The plot details for Fantastic Beasts 3 are
still not close to the proverbial chest for now, but fortunately, it is at
least clear about the cast who comprises the lineup in this next sorcerous
outing. All the actors who have been announced or reported to appear in the threequel

1. Eddie Redmayne

Jacob Kowalski had happy times ahead of them. However, it turns out that the
MACUSA banned wizards and non-magical people from marrying. In Fantastic Beasts
3, she will be by Grindelwald’s side because she believed that she and Jacob
could live their lives together free from oppression under his rule.
4. Dan Fogler

Fogler is an American actor, comedian and writer. He has appeared in the Harry
Potter film series, including Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and
Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, acting as Jacob Kowalski. Jacob and
Queenie love each other, but they’re on opposite ideological sides in the film.
In the third instalment, Jacob continues to be an important player in this saga,
though he’s not capable of casting spells.
5. Mads Mikkelsen
Mads Mikkelsen, replacing John Depp, plays Gellert Grindelwald in Fantastic Beasts 3. Gellert Grindelwald has cemented himself as the main antagonist in the Fantastic Beasts film series. If nothing unexpected happens, Mads Mikkelsen will be playing the character for the rest of the Fantastic Beasts series.
Except for the cast and characters
mentioned above, there are also many other key roles in Fantastic Beasts 3. Jude
Law plays Albus Dumbledore who is doing his best to thwart Grindewald’s reign
of terror. The American actor Ezra Miller’s Credence Barebone was first introduced
in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and then further explored in The
Crimes of Grindelwald. In the threequel, the character will get more screen
time. Besides, the British actor and model Callum Turner appeared in the movie
series as Eulalie Hicks, a professor at the Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and
Wizardry. William Nadylam, a French actor, plays Yusuf Kama. What’s more, there
are many other actors who have taken part in the first and second movie appearing
in the third instalment.
Part 4: Previously on Fantastic Beasts 1&2
Fantastic
Beasts and Where to Find Them released in 2016 is about the adventures of
writer Newt Scamander in New York’s secret community of witches and wizards. It
happened seventy years before Harry Potter reads his book in school. In the
year 1926 in the Harry Potter universe, the wizarding world of New York is full
of danger. A mysterious force wreaks havoc on the streets and threatens to
expose the existence of the Magic Society to the Second Salem, an anti-wizard
fanatic organization, and to wipe it out by their hands. The powerful dark
wizard Gellert Grindelwald, who wreaked havoc in Europe, disappeared, and no
one could trace him. Newt Scamander travels from
London to New York City with a briefcase full of magical creatures, or
fantastic beasts, known nothing about the situation. Jacob Kowalski
accidentally let loose some of Newt’s magical creatures. But the mysterious Senior
Auror Percival Graves suspected Newt and Tina at the same time. The dangerous
situation made Newt and Tina cooperate with each other. They built an adventure
team with Tina’s sister and their No-Maj friend Jacob to look for all the lost fantastic
beasts. They have come into direct conflict with the forces of darkness, which
could spell trouble for both the wizarding and No-Maj worlds.
Fantastic
Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald is released in 2018. In this movie, Newt
Scamander spends his days studying, rescuing, and caring for magical creatures.
As Newt goes about his work, the evil wizard Gellert Grindelwald rallies others
to outlaw ‘muggle-blood’ wizards in favor of ‘purebloods’. In an effort to thwart
Grindelwald’s plans of raising pure-blood wizards to rule over all non-magical
beings, Albus Dumbledore enlists his former student Newt Scamander, who agrees
to help, though he’s unaware of the dangers that lie ahead. Lines are drawn as
love and loyalty are tested, even among the truest friends and family, in an
increasingly divided wizarding world.
