Most people have seen iPhone as a pioneer
and leader in mobile phone market. While Steve Jobs was still alive, Apple’s
approach to product design was even spiritual belief for people who pursue
innovation and ultimate. However, as time goes by, iPhone fails to stand out time
after time, and users are gradually running out of patience after seeing few
changes and more expensive prices of the new iPhones after each release conference.
Yesterday, the CEO of Apple, Cook, unveiled
the most expensive iPhone ever – iPhone XS, XS Max and XR. Instead of praise
and cheering, a large number of consumers are complaining and teasing the new
series.
Why is that so, does the new iPhone really let
people down, and how?
1. The
design of the invitation
First of all, it’s said the design
inspiration of the invitation came from the new Apple building, shown as below.
But doesn’t it just look like an induction
cooker, right?
The innovations of Apple have always been savaged
in post-Jobs era. Apple seems to be rotten to formulate any real exciting
features. And it’s extremely obvious this time.
Apple cunningly changed the name of iPhone
XS Plus to iPhone XS Max to give people a false impression that they have
developed a brand-new model. But users could find no fresh points on the new
feature “Max”, compared with “Plus”.
So could we call it an innovation fraud?
3. Unpractical DSDS
In order to suit Asian users’ demands, Apple equipped iPhone XS
series with Dual SIM Dual Standby function for the first time. Nevertheless,
DSDS is not fashionable or advanced at all. Several years ago, when emulational
mobile phones were keeping a large share of the low-end market of China, DSDS
was already a standard feature in cell phones.
Being arrogant, Tim Cook has never really understood the market of
China. Soon after the emulational mobile phones became relics, and most Chinese
users became rich enough to afford several branded phones simultaneously like HUAWEI,
XIAOMI, etc. DSDS was no longer urgent demand.
At the very least, for iPhone users who are in need of more than one
SIM card, there is another choice which is much cheaper and stronger. It is
called Apple Peel. With this black technology, iPhone users could use three SIM
cards simultaneously with only one iPhone. More importantly, it costs about only
$50. In a nutshell, DSDS is not attractive enough to wake up Chinese consumers’
desire to pay for it.
Though I didn’t say any good things towards
the new iPhones, rich people could just ignore them and buy the new iPhones to
have a taste. And if there is any problem related to iOS data
backup&transfer, I must recommend you to use iTransfer.
What is iTransfer? iTransfer is an
excellent software program that could help you to transfer 12 kinds of files
between iPhone/iPad/iPod, iTunes and computer. You could use it to transfer files
between iPhone XS and Mac. It could also work as an iOS data manager, you could
use it to delete movies on iPad, add songs to your iPod and so on. All in all,
it is the best partner for iPhone XS/iPhone XS Max/iPhone XR.
Now the items have been updated. The
happiest people might be the vice president of HUAWEI. HUWAI is a famous company
that manufactures smartphones, network switches, smart homes, etc. After staying
up late to see the release of Apple in China, the president couldn’t wait to show
his relieved mood in China’s biggest social network – Sina.com, claiming the new
products Apple published helped to gain his confidence towards the following
new HUAWEI release in London.
Let’s switch the time to several years ago,
either just last year, to challenge the superpower status of Apple in high-end mobile
phone market seems to an impossible task. However, Apple now is continuously
showing declining sales under fierce attack of new burgeoning brands. And
brands like XIAOMI, HUAWEI, etc. are taking a larger and larger part of the
middle-end and high-end mobile phone market.
Of course, there is still a long way to go for
brands like HUAWAI to surpass Apple, Apple is still the best in performance,
user experience, UI, etc. But a new situation in mobile phone market is also desirable.
Let’s wait to see HUAWEI’s release in
London.
