LG G2 Smartphone Official Specs and Features Announced on New York Press Event

With much fanfare in New York, if little surprise due to significant recent leaks, LG has unveiled its latest flagship 4G smartphone, the LG G2 smartphone.

The handset uses Qualcomm's Snapdragon 800 processor - about as good as it gets in the current market - with a 2.3GHz  quad-core chip - as well as 2GB of RAM and a full HD 1,080p 5.2-inch, 424 pixels-per-inch display. With such amazing configurations, it would no doubt a wonderful choice to watch HD videos on LG G2 smartphone.

Other stats for the 143g handset include a huge 3,000mAh battery, microSD support with a 13-megapixel rear camera (plus a 2.1MP front one), 32GB of storage, plus accelerometer, gyro, proximity and compass sensors.

LG controversially moved the volume rocker on the rear, beneath the camera module, which is supposedly a more ergonomic placement.

An interesting feature of the G2 is the Graphic RAM (GRAM) technology, which supposedly reduces the energy use of the panel by an impressive 26 percent on a still, and extends overall phone usage time by up to 10 percent.

LG boasted that the camera of the G2 is the only 13MP camera capable of optical image stabilization, without affecting the profile of the phone.

Another interesting feature may be what LG calls “Studio Quality Hi-Fi Sound”. While that’s obviously hyperbolic, the 24 bit/192kHz is supposedly a world first.

The LG G2 looks like a feature rich device, having all the bells and whistles you would aspect from a modern high-end smartphone, including support for LTE-A connectivity.
