Though Sony hasn’t got satisfactory performance
in the smartphone this year, several smartphones have been prepared for the
coming year. Besides the frequently exposed quad-core flagship smartphone Sony Yuga in recent, the famous resource Eldar
Murtazin exposed in his twitter that he might be going to unveil Sony’s new
smartphone C550X and make a test
like that of Yuga. Actually, the C550X mentioned by Eldar Murtazin had been
exposed before in the codename of Dogo.
According to the previous reports, this new smartphone will be high-end
smartphone, with great improvement in touchscreen size, processor and other
hardware, and additional waterproof
function.
Screen
display: This new smartphone will be configuring a
4.65" 720P touchscreen. Together with Mobile Bravia Engine 2 graphic
engine, this smartphone produces great visual effect for people to watch HD movies. Besides, whether this new smartphone would add White Magic graphic
display techonoly is still to be confirmed.
Qual-comm
quad-core processor: Sony C550X would also feature
a 1.5GHz Qual-comm Snapdragon APQ8064 quad-core processor with 2GB RAM. Thus there
would be no worry about the operating experience. As for the camera, this new
smartphone will be built in with a 13MP camera with HDR shooting ability and
1080P HD movie recording. Via the help of MHL, users could also air the
pictures on phone to big screen without additional power consumption.
Waterproof
function: Waterproof function is the third biggest
characteristic of Sony C550X. The new smartphone would be waterproof and
dustproof to meet the IP55 and IP57 standards. It could work normally for half
an hour under one-meter-deep-water. This new smartphone also comes with a
2000mAh battery to prolong battery performance.

Sony C550X will run on Android 4.1.1 OS
and brand-new Sony Xperia UI
interface, Clear audio+ technology, Wi-Fi, GPS navigation, Bluetooth, NFC, etc.
For the release date, this new smartphone is said to be appearing on the
CES2013 and officially released in the Q1 of 2013.
