Earlier today, Apple brought the iOS 6.0.1
update for users worldwide. In addition of the version for end users, Apple
also pushed out the first beta of iOS 6.1 to its developers for iPhone, iPod
and iPad. On the announcement, Apple claimed that devices updated to the iOS
6.1 beta would not be restored to earlier version of iOS. Devices that could
run this version include: iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPad 2,
third- and fourth-gen iPads, and fourth- and fifth-gen iPod touch to registered
developers. Curiously, however, it does not yet seem to be available for the
iPad mini.
