Apple 7” Tablet to Be Released in October under the Name of iPad Mini

With the confirmation about the official release of iPhone 5, another concern from all Apple fans and people around the world is the long rumored 7” tablet. According to the latest news from Apple blog site Macotakara, Apple's much-rumored 7-inch tablet will in fact be called the iPad Mini, and official release date is set to be October from the report of AllthingsD, though there were rumors that the iPad Mini might probably get released along with iPhone 5 on the September 12th event.
iPad Mini
Citing info from an "Asian source," the Japanese site Macotakara said the 7.85-inch tablet is expected to sport the familiar iPad logo on the back. Meanwhile, ATD's John Paczkowski cited several unnamed sources in reporting the separating events, the iPhone 5 official debut on September 12th and the iPad Mini release in October. This report contradicts earlier rumors pointing to a single September 12 launch event for both the new iPhone and iPad Mini. But holding separate events would make sense as it gives both products their moment to shine. And also, there had been reports in June which indicated the October release of a 7.85” iPad tablet, which makes the latest report more reliable.

Though the attention is on the iPhone 5 and iPad Mini, the iPod lineup may also be up for a refresh. The iPod Nano will receive Wi-Fi connectivity and support for a cloud-based iTunes service, according to Macotakara's source. The next iPod Touch also sports a "mysterious hole" next to its iSight camera, which Macotakara speculates could be used for near-field

Ready for September 12th Event: iPhone 5, AirPlay Direct and Probably iPad Mini

Previously, there had been rumors that Apple would introduce iPhone 5 on the special September 12th event. Now, from all rumors and sources hot online, this saying seems to be more reliable. On the special September 12th event, Apple would not only introduce the iPhone 5, but probably other wonderful gadgets as well, including 7-inchiPad Mini and AirPlay Direct, though according to Gizmodo, well-connected and professional Apple dot-connector John Gruber is disputing the previous report about a dual-announcement of the iPhone 5 and iPad Mini and hinting that it makes more sense for Apple to hold two different events and announce the iPhone 5 on Sept. 12th and then wait until October to introduce the iPad Mini.
iPhone 5
"First, an iPhone event, focused solely on the new iPhone and iOS 6. Then, the iPhone ships nine days later, and there's another wave of iPhone-focused attention as the reviews come out," Gruber explained. "Then, in the first or second week of October, Apple holds its traditional 'music event,' exactly along the lines of the events at which they've been debuting new iPods for the last decade.

At least we’re sure that the iPhone 5 is most likely to be released on September 12th event. From the rumors hot online, the next generation of Apple iPhone will be fully upgraded in various aspects. Features of iPhone 5 include:
9 Pin Dock Connector in place of the previous 30 Pin Dock Connector;
Larger screen (probably 4.0 inches compared to the 3.6 inches screen on iPhone 4S), thinner built;
LTE connectivity and faster processor;
NFC and passbook;
No Youtube and Google maps.
Apple AirPlay Direct
Meanwhile, a report on Tuesday claims inside knowledge of a new AirPlay feature Apple will allegedly introduce at its widely rumored Sept. 12 special event, with the new technology allowing users to stream audio directly to HiFi units or speakers without a Wi-Fi network. According to people familiar with Apple's plans, the so-called AirPlay Direct tech will require only an iDevice and compatible audio equipment for music streaming, doing away with the feature's current need of a Wi-Fi network, reports the Telegraph.

Sony VAIO Duo 11 Windows 8 Notebook-Tablet Leaked with Multiple Pictures

As the approaching of Windows 8 official release, there’re more and more reports on Windows 8 devices. From the exclusive report of an unnamed PocketNow source, Sony is gearing up to give Microsoft Surface a run for its money with a new convertible tablet hybrid of its own running on Windows 8, reportedly named as Sony VAIO Duo 11. There’re some pictures regarding this new convertible notebook-tablet hybrid leaked online.
Sony VAIO Duo 11
Though we couldn’t get very detailed and precise specs about this new tablet, the pictures leaked do show us some features of Sony VAIO Duo 11. First of all, PocketNow predicts that the new device is supposed to feature an 11" touchscreen with convertible keyboard and supporting stylus. We can also see Microsoft Office running on the tablet in one of the images. The keyboard also appears to be backlit, and PocketNow points out that the keyboard isn’t detachable – it’s on there for good. That, when coupled with the office setting of the images, leads us to believe that the VAIO Duo 11 will be aimed more at business people than mainstream consumers.
Sony VAIO Duo 11
Another obvious thing is the use of stylus. We can see from the leaked pictures a stylus is attached. From the pictures leaked there, we may take a guess that the stylus might play a great role on the new notebook-tablet hybrid. But for the price and release date, the PocketNow source mentioned nothing. The following are two more pictures leaked:

How to Transfer iPad Content to Computer or New iPad for Backup Freely

iPad
"I have just got the new iPad and want to make iPad backup on my computer and transfer iPad to new iPad for iPad content backup on the new iPad. I have tried some solutions including iCloud and iTunes provided by Apple. But unfortunately, some songs not purchased in the iTuens store couldn't be transferred to computer or new iPad, neither does some apps. Is there any way or better software to help transfer iPad to new computer or transfer iPad to new iPad easily?"

As anyone who's ever lost data due to a hard drive failure or file corruption and those who want to backup iPad on new computer or new iPad know, making good backups of iPad data is essential. All devices encounter trouble sometimes and having a backup can successfully avoid losing days, months, or even years of data. People who have backed up iPad content or tried to transfer iPad to new computer or transfer iPad to new iPad must have the same experience that though Apple makes backing up the iPad very easy, it is not simple work with solutions provided by Apple for there are so many restrictions. Thus, to avoid such restrictions, many people turn to third-party programs, which always are powerful enough to make all things possible and easy.

To transfer iPad to new computer, Apple provides iCloud and iTunes for users. iCloud automatically backs up the most important data on your iOS 5 device. After you have enabled Backup on your iPad in Settings > iCloud > Backup & Storage, it will run on a daily basis as long as your device is connected to the Internet over Wi-Fi, connected to a power source and screen locked. iCloud also allows you to make iPad backup manually by choosing Back Up Now from Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup
Transfer iPad to Computer

It is even easier to transfer iPad to new computer with iTunes. You only need to connect your iOS device to a computer with the latest version of iTunes installed, select your iOS device in iTunes under Devices and then right-click (or Control-click) the device and select Back Up. Attention that iTunes works only when you shut down iCloud.

The limitation of using iCloud and iTunes is that they couldn't backup apps and music in iPad to computer. You could only redownload apps for free by using iCloud and purchased music via iTunes. For the convenience of backing up apps and music, third-party programs show the power. A third-party iPad to PC transfer program could help you easily transfer iPad to new computer or even transfer iPad to new iPad for iPad backup freely. Such kind of iPad to PC transfer program could help you backup iPad contents, including videos, music, apps, etc. It would be easy to use third-party iPad to PC transfer to transfer iPad to new computer. Take the iPad transfer from Leawo for example, you only need to connect iPad to computer, your iPad under Devices in the third-party program, select content to back up, click the transfer button to set target place. You can check this how-to to know How to back up iPad content onto computer to get more details. Other third-party programs though not own the same procedure as this iPad to PC transfer app, mostly do the same thing for you.

These three ways are the most commonly used for people to transfer iPad to new computer or iPad to new iPad for data backup. Different people have different requirements. You can the one that meets yours most.

3 Best Ways to Transfer Photos to iPad from Any Sources

"I just gifted an iPad to my son as a birthday gift today. We had a very wonderful day and took a lot of wonderful family pictures with camera. My son is very happy. He wanted to sync photos to iPad to store these photos on iPad for convenient future review. I have tried iTunes and found it troublesome to do this. Is there any way or better software to help transfer pictures to iPad from camera directly?

There are always questions like the above one. In fact, I have written a post about transferring pictures from computer to iPad. In this post, I would like to talk about transferring pictures to iPad from various sources. The large screen and the high screen resolution of iPad make it really wonderful choice to view pictures. Thus, it is quite common for iPad users to wander how to transfer pictures to iPad from camera, computer, iTunes, Android devices, Microsoft Windows devices, and many other devices to realize picture sharing easily. So, is there any way to sync photos to iPad from various sources? Of course Yes. The below three ways are the most convenient methods I could think to help you easily and freely transfer photos to iPad.
The first method is to use iCloud. iCloud is a cloud storage and cloud computing service from Apple Inc. The service allows you to store data such as music files on remote computer servers for download to multiple devices such as iOS-based devices (except older iPhones), and personal computers running OS X or Microsoft Windows. What you need is only an Apple ID and WiFi network connectivity. Once you take photos with iPhone, you can sync photos to iPad via iCloud quickly. The disadvantage of iCloud is that it only supports to transfer pictures to iPad from computer and Apple products like iTunes, iPhone and iPod. You can't directly sync photos to iPad from your camera.
Secondly, I would like to recommend iTunes. As the control center of all Apple iOS devices like iPod, iPhone and iPad, iTunes could help you easily transfer pictures to iPad from other iOS devices and computer. It could connect to the iTunes Store to purchase and download music, music videos, television shows, iPod games, audiobooks, podcasts, movies and movie rentals, ringtones and download application from the App Store for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. But, if you want to transfer pictures to iPad from camera, you have to firstly move pictures in camera to computer folder or iTunes and then iTunes could help you transfer pictures to ipad, which makes the transferring a little bit troublesome.

Well, it seems that iCloud and iTunes both could not perform well exactly on transferring pictures to iPad directly from camera. We have to look for some third-party tools to do this. From my personal experience, I would like to recommend a professional iPad photo transfer app. This iPad photo transfer program could be considered as enhanced iTunes. It could sync photos to iPad from iPad, iPod, iPhone, iTune, computer, and other non-iOS devices like Android smartphones, tablets, cameras, etc. Transferring pictures to iPad from camera is very easy with this iPad photo transfer. After starting this program on computer, you only need to drag pictures or folders in camera directly to Photo option under iPad device inside this app, no other operations needed.

We can't say which one of the above three methods is the best. Different people have different requirements. The method that meets your requirements most would be your best choice.

Samsung Galaxy S II Plus Now Available at $734.34 USD with 4.52" Large Screen and 1.5GHz Dual-core Processor

We all know that the Samsung Galaxy S II had been a good seller in the smartphone market. The newly released Samsung Galaxy S III also has been a popular hot choice for all smartphone buyers. In such good situation, there’re reports that Samsung Galaxy S II Plus is available at $734.34 USD with quite wonderful features.
Samsung Galaxy S II Plus

The reports about Samsung Galaxy S II Plus had been started from this February. At that time, none had any idea on the specs of this new smartphone. The Galaxy S II Plus was firstly spotted on the An3DBenchXL benchmark site back in February, carrying a dual-core 1.5GHz Exynos processor, which is a slight bump from the dual-core 1.2GHz Exynos processor found on the international version of the Samsung Galaxy S II as well as on the Sprint and AT&T variant of the phone. The T-Mobile branded model of the Samsung Galaxy S II had a dual-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor under the hood. And now, there’s new confirmed information about the availability of the Plus version of Galaxy S II from Chilean carrier VTR, showed in the following picture:
Samsung Galaxy S II Plus available

According to Chilean carrier VTR, the Samsung Galaxy S II Plus will have a 4.52 inch screen (which represents a slight increase from the international and AT&T Galaxy S II models and is the same size as the Sprint and T-Mobile versions), 1 GB of RAM, 16GB of storage and an 8MP camera on back. While the benchmark tests earlier this year had the device flexing its muscles with Gingerbread abroad, the latest speculation has Android 4.0 being installed instead.

Maybe you would like to ask why Samsung would go ahead with the Galaxy S II Plus when the Samsung Galaxy S III, with clearly much more advanced specs, is selling like hotcakes. This might be solved only by Samsung, or the carrier VTR.

The First Nokia Lumia Windows Phone 8 Handset Is Coming On September 5th?

By far, the detailed official release of Windows Phone 8 OS still needs to be confirmed. From previous rumors and reports, most of us would prefer to believe a November release of Windows Phone 8 OS. But is this true? Probably not. Very recently, Nokia and Microsoft have sent out invitations for a joint event on September 5th event in New York City. And based on all clues and information, this upcoming event is mostly likely to point to the first Nokia Lumia Windows Phone 8 devices. As from the rumors collected previously, this joint event on September 5th is most probably about a mysterious device from Nokia codenamed under Nokia Phi.
According to the rumors, the Nokia Phi is expected to sport a design similar to the one on the Lumia 900 with an equally sized 4.3-inch screen, but with a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor and expandable memory via microSD.

Aside from the joint press event of Nokia and Microsoft and the rumors about Nokia Phi, still some other reports also show that there would be a big move from Nokia and Microsoft to compete with their common rivals, Samsung and the next Apple iPhone. As reported, Samsung is going to bring its competitive Galaxy Note II to the market while the next Apple iPhone is reported to mostly be unveiled on the September 12th event. And now, Nokia is also going to bring out their first, or maybe the world’s first, Windows Phone 8 handset. Isn’t September a big surprise for the world? And what else more could you ask for?

Oh, nearly forget to bring another fact to this. Chris Webber, Nokia’s Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Tweeted the following words days ago to rival Samsung - "Samsung take note, next generation Lumia coming soon." Feel the strong smell of gunpowder? It is quite unusual for companies to directly call each other out so publicly, unless they are going to bring something new, or they are in a lawsuit, obviously the latter of which is a little reliable.

Anyway, these are just still our guess work. We need to wait for the truth. Stay tuned for more detailed and latest news.

3 Most Useful and Easiest Video Editing Software to Help Create Videos

It’s quite easy to take pictures and videos with digital devices. You can either keep the pictures and footages in your memory card or on your computer. Also, by using some video editing software, you can create polished movies and slideshows to show off or share with your friends via the internet. Such video editor tools make it easy to trim portions of original videos, adjust video effects, add transitions between different clips, and even plug in audio voiceovers if you need. Once you finish creating a great video, you can share it with others in a variety of ways.

The problem here goes that which kind of video editor to choose in creating videos and slideshows from footages, movies, pictures and audio tracks. A good video editing program should at least include a storyboard and timeline layout, a video stabilizer and the ability to add text to the video. Meanwhile, when shopping for movie editor tool, you need an app that allows you to import and export your media in the formats that work best for you. One more feature is the program user interface. Obviously, an easy to use interface would no doubt add its weight.

Based on the above requirements for selecting video editor program, we could narrow the options and make it easier to choose. The below 3 video editing software programs are widely considered to be the most useful and easiest video editing tools to help edit video and create movie.

PowerDirector: This video editing software provides 200 video and audio tracks so that you can create movies as complex or as simple as you desire. It's easy to import and export files with this movie making software. Additionally, it supports a large number of file formats. The editing options are intuitive so you can quickly start working on your projects. With transitions, special effects and more, you'll be able to create professional-looking movies.

Video Editor: A very easy to use video editing program just like Windows Movie Maker. This video editing tool allows users to import video, audio and picture files in different formats from different sources, capture video, record audio, snap screenshots, and output to DVD, video and mobile devices. It features abundant video editing tools, including effects, transitions, titles, etc. It provides Timeline panel for you to edit files, where you can use zoom-in and zoom-out button to enlarge scale size to have clear visual control of each frame and precisely edit separate tracks including videos, images, audios and titles by adding extra tracks, removing unwanted tracks, disabling the selected tracks or splitting tracks into two parts.

Adobe Premiere Elements 10: An easy-to-use application with enough features that even meets professional requirements. You can fix imperfections in the audio and video tracks, add effects and transitions, pan and zoom on still images, and more. You can also create high-definition movies with menus and upload them directly to YouTube, or burn them onto a disc. This video editing software is compatible with both PC and Mac operating systems.

One thing to keep in mind when using any video editing software, including PowerDirector, is that the more audio and video tracks you add, the more it taxes your system. We noticed that when you add a lot of elements, such as videos, audio, transitions and effects, the system has a tendency to crash. If you keep things fairly simple though and the files small, you probably won't have any problems.
