Top 8 Leaked Features of Upcoming Samsung Galaxy S 8

Android fans would be happy to welcome the March 29 event, in which the long anticipated Samsung Galaxy S 8 will get released. With the approaching of the new device, more and more reports on the leaked features of Samsung Galaxy S 8 have been released on various blogs. Here are the top 8 hottest Galaxy S 8 features for you:

Two sizes

Samsung has been always providing large screen smartphones. According to a recent report from Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities, there will be two sizes for the Galaxy S8, the S8 and the S8+: 5.8 inch and 6.2 inch, both of which are reported to be OLED and feature WQHD+ resolutions of 2960×2400. Obviously, the large size will result in larger screen displays of S8 than its previous models.

No more Home button

According to Mashable, new leaked images reveal the new device won’t have a home button on the front of the phones, but will include a virtual home button that works the same way. This seems to be highly convincible, since Apple’s next iPhone is also reported to abandon the Home button.

Unlock with iris scan

Just like the Samsung Galaxy Note 7, the Galaxy S8 and S8+ will have an iris scanner for users to unlock their devices with an eye scan. This feature is obviously definitely to be confirmed.

3D-curved cover glass

According to the report, the new Samsung Galaxy S 8, in both 5.8 inch and 6.2 inch, will have Samsung’s 3D-curved cover glass.

New desktop feature

BRG.com reported that the new models will come with a cool new feature allowing users to plug their phones into a dock, connect them to a big screen monitor and run Android apps on a desktop.

Colors

According to Kuo, the glass casing on the back of the device will be available in seven color options: gold, silver, bright black, matte black, blue, orchid and pink. People will get more options and select desired color of models.

Better battery life

The big screen displays would of course consume more battery. That’s what people concern since the screen specs come out. According to the report from Kuo, the new Samsung Galaxy smartphones will come with bigger batteries: 3,000 mAh battery in the S8 and 3,500 mAh in the S8+.

Release and shipment date

The Samsung Galaxy S8 will be officially announced on March 29, while the official shipment date is rumored to be Friday, April 21, according to Kuo. But earlier reports claimed the device would be delayed until April 28.
