Google Just Released 125 Movies in 4K on Google Play for Rental or Purchase for the U.S. and Canada
We have talked about 4K for a long time. The
very latest hot topic is that Google is going to release 4K content on its
Google Play. Now, Google has made it official - 4K video is available for
rental or purchase on Google Play Store. However, currently there are only 125
movies available in 4K on Google Play, and these 4K movies are only accessible
in the US and Canada.
The 4K movie price of these 125 4K movies on Google Play
Store is $7.99 for a 4K rental and $29.99 for a 4K movie purchase. It should be
noted that not all titles can be rented and bought in 4K. Sometimes it's just
one or the other. According to the Google Play officials, more titles would be
made in 4K on Google Play in the near future.
You can watch your 4K Google Play content on a Chromecast
Ultra or on Sony Bravia 4K TVs with Android TV built-in. Interestingly, Google
does not mention the Shield, which has 4K video output. It's not clear if
that's an oversight or the Shield is somehow lacking support at present.

Seagate introduces 512GB SSD Game Drive for Xbox One
Xbox is far more than a simple gaming console. Many Xbox
console owners even use Xbox to watch movies, especially the newly released Xbox One S,
which comes with the feature of 4K Blu-ray disc playback. The Xbox One S ships with a big storage of up to 2TB, but
the Xbox One is not big enough for gaming and movie watching.
Very recently, Seagate has introduced a 512GB SSD (solid
state drive) game drive for Xbox One, aiming to provide Xbox owners with some
extra speedy storage for gaming and movie playback. This would be a great news
for those who have long complained about the small storage of Xbox One, which
has successfully prevented them from more wonderful games.
The drive even sports Xbox branding, coming in a pretty
attractive black and green enclosure with the Xbox logo appearing in one
corner.
As for the drive itself, it uses flash storage that should
noticeably improve load times over typical mechanical hard drives. The drive
also doesn't require a power cable, meaning the single connection to the Xbox
is all it requires to work. For those concerned with space, Seagate claims that
the 512GB drive should hold up to 15 Xbox One titles on average.
Seagate's Game Drive for Xbox SSD will go on sale in
November for $199, and is expected to be available at Gamestop and Amazon. For
now, you can read more at Seagate's website.

iPhone 7 Vs iPhone 7 Plus: The Differences Decide Your Purchase
The Apple iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus have been officially
unveiled this morning. But the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are not like any
previous Apple iPhone ‘number change’. This update is not simply about adding 2
new phone colors compared to iPhone 6 and 6S. Even the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7
Plus are different in features and design. These 2 new iPhone models look identical
to each other. Except the appearance, there are also some other significant differences.
People who plan to upgrade to iPhone 7 might wonder which
iPhone 7 model is more worth buying. Here is a comparison between iPhone 7 and
iPhone 7 Plus. The comparison is straightforward, covering design, display,
performance, camera, battery life, storage and price.
Design & Size - More Durable, More Controversial
In the new iPhone models, Apple has made great change in
design, but stayed the same in size like that of iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus. Several
changes in design include: remove the 3.5mm EarPod port, IP67 dust and water
resistance, antenna bands, and Home key improvement.

Apple Watch 2 Reportedly to Release this Year with Faster Processor, GPS, Barometer and More
We may know a ton about the next iPhone - the iPhone 7 already, but details on a potential Apple Watch upgrade have been conspicuous by their absence considering the original model was announced almost two years ago. However, according to the latest report connected to the insiders, Apple is planning to release two Apple Watch versions in the second half of 2016, one a minor update over existing models and an "Apple Watch 2" with faster processor, GPS, barometer and more.
Well-connected KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo in a note to investors on Sunday, obtained by AppleInsider, detailed Apple's wearable timeline for the coming six months.
Kuo believes Apple is planning to launch two new Apple Watch versions in the second half of 2016, both of which offer moderate improvements over their predecessor. The first unit will be an iterative upgrade on the original Apple Watch and is expected to sport the same aesthetics, but with improved intervals like a TSMC processor built on the 16nm process. Waterproofing should also be slightly improved.

Glasses-Free 3D Movie Screens May Soon Come into Movie Theatre
3D video, despite never really succeeding as a
consumer-level product, still has some success today in movie theaters, as more
and more big-budget movies are released in 3D to try and squeeze a few more
dollars out of patrons. Some movie studios even tried to turn 2D movies to 3D to reproduce classic movies in 3D effect and bring the
3D versions to theatre, such as Titanic. But there are drawbacks to 3D movies:
cinematically, the polarizing 3D glasses also result in darker, less vibrant
perception of the movie. Based on these, glasses-free 3D movie viewing
technology has been required.
Though glasses-free 3D viewing technology has already available, it relies on screens with
massive resolution requirements. Therefore it’s impractical to recreate the
big-screen movie theatre experience. However, the glass-free 3D movie
experience might shortly come into theatre since researchers have developed 3D movie screens that don't require 3D glasses.
