Android 4.3 gets leaked again right after skipping Google I/O

After failing to appear at Google I/O, evidence that Android 4.3 is forthcoming soon has been leaking out slowly. Now, the first photos of the next sweet iteration of the mobile OS running on a device have been spotted. It looks to be a new flavor of Jelly Bean rather than the whole slice of Key Lime Pie.

Apple iPhone 6 concept becomes more detailed – 4.5 inch edge to edge display and up to 20MP main camera

How about this for a concept Apple iPhone 6 model? A sleek 4.5 inch display that is completely edge to edge with resolution of 754 x 1296. The pixel density works out to 333ppi. That would compare with the 441ppi on the 5 inch screen used on the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the 326ppi on the Apple iPhone 5. No doubt, it would also deliver amazing movie experience for people to watch HD movies on iPhone 6. The complete elimination of the bezel actually shows off why one is needed. Without a bezel, your hand is covering up part of the display.

Apple iPhone 6 concept image

As long as we're basically dreaming for this concept, how about the dual 2.8GHz quad-core A7 processor? The touch enabled areas by the home button for this iOS 8/iPhone 6 concept would allow you to double tap to multitask, tap to go home, or customize the destination of the button yourself. The Apple iPhone 6 in this concept is made up of 60% carbon and 40% aluminum. This combination lets the device have the toughness of carbon but also offer the lightweight feeling of aluminum. And the aluminum-carbon body allows the Apple iPhone 6 concept to be water resistant in 2 feet of water for up to 30 minutes.

9 best features of Microsoft’s newly released Xbox One

Previously, we had made some predictions on next-gen Xbox features. Now, with Microsoft finally joining the eighth generation of videogame consoles — and its system is meant to make every other system obsolete, it’s time for us to see what the highlights the Xbox One would bring to us. Meet the Xbox One, described alternately (and often simultaneously) as “instant,” “simple,” “complete,” “interactive,” and “personalized.” It’s apparently equal parts computer, console, and TV, continuing the tectonic technological conjoining that was kickstarted three generations ago with the Playstation.
Microsoft Xbox One

In an hour-long launch event today, Microsoft unveiled Xbox One and its many new features, some of which are scintillating and some of which are silly. It also debuted some exclusive partnerships (Spielberg! Call of Duty!), almost all of which are potentially awesome. Among all the features of Microsoft Xbox One, the highlights, below:

How to get lock screen widgets on the Samsung Galaxy S4

When you first pick up the Samsung Galaxy S4, it might appear that lock screen widgets aren't available. After all, the default lock screen is just a big clock widget with "life companion" or some other message up top. But as an Android 4.2 device, the S4 includes full support for lock screen widgets, it's just a case of enabling them in the phone's lock screen settings.
Samsung Galaxy S 4

Head to “Settings > My device > Lock screen” and check "Multiple widgets." Once you've done that, you're able to swipe to the right and add more lock screen panels. There's the standard list of Google widgets as well as some new stuff from Samsung, including a new WatchON widget. This ties into the WatchON app, which is the Peel-powered universal remote included on the Galaxy S4, giving you an expandable universal remote right from your lock screen. Third-party offerings like Dashclock Widget should work just fine, too.

Google confirmed Google Edition Samsung Galaxy S 4 with Stock Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS on Google I/O

No doubt, Google I/O conference would be the biggest focus these days. But simply from today’s 3-hour keynote of Google I/O, we have to say that this Google I/O conference is not a conference for hardware. Previously there’re reports and rumors that Google would announce X Phone or next Nexus 4, which now have been proved to be rumors only. The only hardware appearing on Google I/O is so called Google Edition Samsung Galaxy S 4, which is powered by stock Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS, while the current Samsung Galaxy S 4 of the phone which runs Samsung's TouchWiz UI over Android 4.2.2.

It’s reported that the Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Edition will be available next month and will support T-Mobile's bands. We do not know at this point if the phone will be sold in the Google Play Store and what the pricing will be. Previous speculation had a newer version of the Google Nexus 4 being unveiled at Google I/O with 32GB of native storage and 4G LTE connectivity. That phone still might be unwrapped on Wednesday.

Top 8 Most Anticipated Things on Google I/O 2013: New Nexus Q, Android 4.3, Chrome Dongle, New Gmail, and More

Google I/O 2013 is this week. Hard to believe, right? It seems like only a few weeks ago that we were freaking out as the Nexus 7, Nexus Q and Jelly bean (Android 4.1) were all being unveiled through Google Play as we were entering the day 1 keynote of 2012s I/O. But here we are, almost a year removed from that event and six months out from Googles cancelled winter event that was supposed to feature the Nexus 4, Nexus 10, new version of Jelly Bean (Android 4.2), and an updated HSPA+ version of the Nexus 7. So as we approach next week, we thought we should drop some of our own predictions, include a few rumors that are floating about, and even a few whispers that have entered our inbox over the last week or so.
Google I/O 2013

Ready? Here is our list of Google I/O predictions.

New Nexus Q:  We’ve talked a lot about the return of the Nexus Q on various DL Shows, because we all love the idea that it could become something phenomenal. As you all know though, the Nexus Q was announced at I/O last year, then essentially killed off weeks later before it ever shipped to anyone. Google realized it had either half-assed the product or that it really was lacking any sort of real functionality that could justify its steep price. So is it going to return? Sources of ours have led us to believe that it is indeed returning, only this time with an emphasis on gaming. Details are scarce, so we aren’t sure if it’ll take the OUYA approach or be something different altogether. There is also a chance that the hardware changes to be more cube-like, however, I hope that it doesn’t. I personally love the hardware of last year’s Nexus Q.

Google reportedly to release new Nexus 7 as the highlight of Google I/O for the delay of next-gen iPad mini

In the research note obtained by AppleInsider, Kuo notes the new Nexus 7 will feature upgraded specs, such as a high-resolution screen, better cameras and wireless charging, but will maintain an entry-level price of $199. Apple is also rumored to be launching an updated iPad mini sometime in the third quarter, but that timeline is in question as recent reports have said production of the small form factor tablet hit a snag.
Next Nexus 7 specs

Google is likely to lose $5 to $10 per unit sold with the aggressive pricing, suggesting profits will come from media purchases and ad revenue. Kuo sees the distribution model being the same as 2012's version, with Google selling the Nexus 7 through its website, while Asustek and other retail outlets take care of higher-end iterations with more storage.

How to turn off the annoying system sounds on Samsung Galaxy S 4

No matter how much you love your smartphone, sometimes you don’t want to hear its annoying sounds, especially when you’re at a meeting. Such case also happens to Samsung Galaxy S 4. There’re various kinds of system sounds on Samsung Galaxy S 4 and other smartphones, like the dialing keypad tone, touch sounds, screen lock sound, haptic feedback, key-tap sound, key-tap vibration, ringing vibration, etc. All these sounds might get you annoyed in certain cases. Samsung has got so-called “nature” sounds last year with the Galaxy S3. Such “sounds by nature” continue to appear in the latest iteration.

Those people who have been using Samsung devices for a while are more used to this, of course, and are pretty adept at turning them off. But things have changed a little bit in Samsung's latest. And some novice may try to turn off these “nature” sounds to get ears quiet. Here's a primer for getting rid of those annoying system sounds.

How to stop notification vibrations on the Samsung Galaxy S4

If you've set your Android 4.2 phone to vibrate mode, notifications that would normally play a sound alert cause a vibration. On the Nexus 4 that's easily avoided by cranking the volume all the way down to the "mute" level, but on the Samsung Galaxy S4 (international version only, for some reason) the lowest level on the volume bar is 'vibrate,' not 'mute.' So how do you avoid being pestered by vibration alerts? Turns out there's a simple toggle for it, though it's tucked away in a less than obvious place.
Mute settings for Galaxy S4

To switch to mute mode on the Galaxy S4 and silence vibration alerts for notifications, long-press the power button and hit the "mute" button. Alternatively, "mute" is one of the options you can add to the quick settings bar in the notification shade. (Scroll to the right or expand the quick settings area if you don't see it.)

How to change, reset and customize the Galaxy S4 lock screen message

Anyone who holds a Samsung Galaxy S 4 would be very familiar with the phone lock screen message of "Life companion" on Samsung Galaxy S 4. And that's a fine slogan originally designed by Samsung for its S4 owners. But out of customization, if you're a little tired of seeing it on your phone every time you turn it on, you are able to change, reset and customize the lock screen message of Galaxy S 4.
Galaxy S4

It’s very easy to change, reset and customize the lock screen message of Galaxy S 4. Samsung's taking advantage of the lock screen widgets in Android 4.2.2 to provide that custom greeting, clock and date as soon as you wake the phone. You can change the font, color and size, remove the clock and date if you want, or get rid of the widget altogether.

Motorola X Phone images leaked with codename reportedly to be Ghost

The anticipations towards Motorola X Phone have successfully heated up the smartphone industry. With so many reports on the looking and specs of Motorola X Phone, Google still doesn’t show any info on this smartphone to its fans. The very latest leaks about Motorola X Phone were about its looking and codename by EvLeaks, who has claimed this report to be legit. Totally there’re two images of Motorola X Phone leaked, and the codename of X Phone was also mentioned in the leak, which is reported to be Ghost.
Google X Phone
But people couldn’t see the actual X Phone clearly, because it is wearing a black non-disclosure case that is hiding the phone itself. It is reported that the rear panel is the device itself, and not the case. It is said to be made of polycarbonate, not metal or even Motorola's traditional Kevlar.
