Samsung Flagship Galaxy S 4 Features Get Leaked Again: Quad-core Processor, 5-inch 1080P Screen and 3GB RAM

Right after the launching and selling of Galaxy S 3 and Note 2, Samsung has put its effort into the next smartphone flagship, the Samsung Galaxy S 4. After the leaked reports about Galaxy S 4 recently, another report in South Korea just again exposed the configuration of Galaxy S 4. According to the report, Galaxy S 4 will configure 28nm A15 quad-core processor, supposed to be the rumored Exynos 5450, which is going to be put into production in the first season of the coming year under the internal code Adonis. Though it might be more power consumed, it produces really excellent performance.
Compared with the Exynos 5250 (32nm process flow), the Exynos 5450 adopts 28nm processor flow, 4 Cortex-A15 cores and 8 GPU cores (Mali-T658). Aside from this, the source of the report also exposed that the Galaxy S 4 will come with a 5-inch 1080P touchscreen, built-in 13MP camera, and unbelievable 3GB RAM. For the release date, as reported, it is scheduled to be the coming May, while Samsung released Galaxy S 3 this May in Britain.

Android Jelly Bean update on Sprint Samsung Galaxy S III now available

Previously, I wrote a post about the Jelly Bean update on U.S. Galaxy S III, which suggested that the US Galaxy S III would get Jelly Bean update until 2013. Now, this seems to be unreliable. The latest reports showed that the Sprint version of Samsung Galaxy S 3 has been available for Jelly Bean update now. Sprint is the first U.S. carrier to deliver an Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for the Samsung Galaxy S3. Available starting this morning as an over-the-air update, the handset will benefit from features such as Google Now, enhanced and expanded notifications, and Android Beam.
Galaxy S 3 Jelly Bean update
Samsung has taken steps to enrich the user experience on its end, giving little extra touches to the camera aspect. Once users download the Jelly Bean update they will discover new live filters for still images and video as well as the power to pause and resume while recording.

What's more, the Galaxy S3 will pick up a new Easy Mode that will help new smartphone users learn their way around the handset. Rounding things out, the version 4.1 update adds additional support for accessories with NFC One Touch Pairing for Bluetooth devices and wireless mirroring through AllShare.

Sprint advises that the Samsung Galaxy S3 will automatically download the Jelly Bean update, prompting users once it's ready to install.

The long anticipated 5.5” phablet Samsung Galaxy Note II has been available for pre-order on Vesizon, but the actual delivery date for this phablet is still not confirmed. A leaked internal Verizon document shows us some useful information regarding Samsung Galaxy Note II: the phablet is set to launch on November 29th while Big Red's own website shows a November 27th delivery date.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 features Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, a quad-core processor, LTE and NFC support, Bluetooth 4.0, and an 8-megapixel camera. See photos, watch video, and read the full Samsung Galaxy Note 2 review here.

Android Jelly Bean update on US Galaxy S III is confirmed to happen until 2013

Ever since its official release, Samsung Galaxy S III has been very popular among the world, even though it only comes with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The absence of the latest Android Jelly Bean system and its advantages have made people so eagle to get Jelly Bean updates for their Galaxy S III smartphones. By now, the east European users have got the Jelly Bean update on Galaxy S III in late September, while other regions of the world also get Jelly Bean update in September, except users in US. According to Samsung Mobile’s latest official press-release, the Jelly Bean update for the U.S. versions of the Galaxy S III will arrive "in the coming months." It also mentions that the specific time of release for each update will be revealed by each respective carrier.
Samsung Galaxy S III Jelly Bean update
According to the Examiner reports, Samsung spokesmen have informed that the U.S. versions of the Galaxy S III will be the last to receive a software update to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Though the exact reasons have not been specified, there might have something to do with carrier testing processes or the slightly different hardware found in those versions of the phone.

So, what all of this means in this case is that the U.S. versions of the Samsung Galaxy S III may not receive their Android 4.1 updates until 2013! But, if you are an Android user, haven’t you yet been used to waiting for the update of OS for all these years?

Motorola Occam and Manta Gets Android 4.2 Update with Benchmarks

With the update release of Android Jelly Bean on Samsung Galaxy S III, the Jelly Bean update on smartphones has been started in various smartphones. Two new Motorola devices, called the Occam and Manta, had been quite talked about in the recent days. Now, the updates of Android 4.2 Jelly Bean on these smartphones have been available for all users.
Motorola Occam AnTuTu Beanchmark Android 4.2
The Occam (think Occam's Razor - or RAZR) smartphone is now listed in the AnTuTu Benchmark database of tested devices. It received an overall score of 9817, but shows a CPU frequency of 1512 MHz. Some speculation is that it could be using a quad-core processor to achieve that score, as well as a CPU Integer rating of 3670, or it could still be using the current Snapdragon S4 processor that is in the Motorola DROID RAZR M, and those higher scores show how much faster Android 4.2 JB is over the current Android 4.1 JB and 4.0 ICS.

Then there is the Manta tablet, which is shown with an overall AnTuTu Benchmark score of 8077 and is using a 1.7 GHz processor. We know that Motorola loves its code names, and their the XOOM tablet had the code name of Stingray for Verizon, and Wingray for the Wi-Fi model.

All of this adds fuel to the fire that there will be a new Motorola smartphone and tablet released (hopefully in the near future) that will come running Android 4.2 out of the box. Still, at this early date, it remains to be seen which carriers will offer the devices, and what their list of hardware features will be.

Apple Top Event in October: iPad Mini Is Coming

Apple will launch a smaller version of the iPad later this year, possibly with the aim of competing with the 7in form factor made popular by the Google Nexus 7 (and Kindle Fire). Are we already on the cusp of another Apple keynote event? Reportedly, iPad Mini is bound to be released on October 10. Coming from a source that is an Apple investor who has been able to confirm with fellow sources, they caution that the date may not pan out as they could not verify reliability. Nonetheless, an October timeframe is in-line with other reports so it seems like a likely possibility.

It is said that the iPad Mini could be better than the current iPad. In what ways? Take a look at the brief introduction below.
iPad Mini
General Portability
An obvious one, but as we’ve just mentioned, a smaller iPad would just generally be easier to carry about in terms of weight and size. It would be more likely to fit neatly into small bags, or indeed perhaps large pockets, and generally be more convenient and portable.

Augmented Reality
Augmented Reality is a lovely use for a smartphone or tablet, but lugging a full-size iPad around, then whipping it about to virtually explore the region around you, is just asking for trouble.
In addition to the risk of whacking folks walking past you, you're going to look like a bit of an idiot. With an iPad mini, this sort of usage would be more palatable, and less likely to get you into trouble clouting a passer-by.

eBooks
A full-size iPad is essentially a two-handed device – great for browsing the web and watching video, but a bit awkward while trying to read Fifty Shades of Grey on a crowded train. That’s where an iPad mini would have another advantage.

Driving Games
Most driving games (not all) allow you to use the iPad or tablet as a steering wheel, turning the entire tablet to steer right and left.

Camera
It's just awkward to hold up a hefty tablet to take a picture, and it draws attention to yourself in a way that an iPhone or other smartphone doesn't. (Perhaps that's why there are no camera settings on the new iPad).
Some rumours have pointed to the fact that the iPad mini will lose the camera to keep costs down – so if you’re not a fan of tablet cameras, you won’t be paying for something you don’t use. Other speculation has indicated that there will be a rear-facing camera, but even if that’s the case, at least with the mini-slate’s more compact nature, you’d get away with some photo-snapping to a greater extent.

Price
We can assume that a smaller iPad will be cheaper, right? That means more money to spend on apps, videos, food, and of course more beer. And who can argue with more beer?
